International Mountain Bike Instructor Certifications (IMIC)
What is the IMIC?
The International Mountainbike Instructor Certification (BeIMIC) is the industry leading mountain bike certification provider born out of the first ever mountain bike certification program – the CMIC (Canadian Mountainbike Instructor Certification). The CMIC was established in 1995 and has taught mountain biking to over 4000 individuals of all ages and skill levels since its inception. The standardized IMIC program follows the same techniques and guidelines as the Canadian certification and is recognized internationally.
The IMIC program offers four(4) levels of certification: Ride Leader, Instructor, Coach and Master Coach. To obtain an IMIC certification an individual will need to meet the requirements of the certification level, successfully complete the class, and pass the certification test (written and practical).
IMIC Certification Licenses
Licenses will be provided upon successful completion of each course and provides the following benefits:
- Industry recognition as a legitimate mountain bike guide, instructor or coach certified to meet international safety standards and trained to use the tested, proven IMIC methodologies
- Officially recognized on the IMIC website as a certified Ride Leader, Instructor, Coach or Master Coach
- The option to have your information on the IMIC site link directly to your email or business website
- The option to utilize our coaching insurance company
- Licenses are valid for 2 years from date of issue
